Formed in 2010 and able to perform a diverse range of styles while specialising in covers of classic soul, motown, disco, funk and pop hits, LeFunk! is one of the best Manchester wedding bands on the circuit. The name is a nod to the classic hit 'Le Freak' by Chic. March 2019 - Wyresdale Park Weddings

Wedding Band First Dance or Special Requests

If you would like us to perform a song that isn't in the band's current repertoire, this is almost always possible. This could be your first dance, or a special song for the occasion.

Public Liability and Emergency Cover

• We have deputy musicians who rehearse with us and can usually cover for last minute emergencies.
• We have Public Liability Insurance of up to £10million
• Our electrical equipment is PAT tested each year.

Planning, Clothing, Playing

As a professional wedding and party band LeFunk! will adapt to the flow or character of your event. Set lengths can be adjusted to fit in with auctions, buffets, raffle results and speeches. Clothing can be funky or formal. Arrival and set up times can usually be arranged to minimise disruption to guests. When you book LeFunk! we don't just turn up on the night and play - we work with you, from the moment you book us, to help realise your plans.

Live Background Music for your Party or Wedding

Additional, more subtle, music can be performed by members of the band during the earlier phases of an event such as a welcome drinks reception, weddng breakfast or the wedding ceremony itself. Dave is a Grade 8 ABRSM Classical Guitarist with an extensive repertoire of classical and popular pieces and Anna is a Grade 8 ABRSM Pianist and Organist at a Manchester city centre church. Requests may be possible on the day if music can be provided, or advance notice is given.

Repertoire

• The main band's repertoire is almost entirely comprised of classic dance hits.
• We cover songs from the 60s right up to the present day, including plenty of 60s soul and 70s disco.
• Other genres including Indie, American Songbook, Easy Listening, Country, Classical and Contemporary Pop can be performed by our band members as an optional extra.

Volume? Too Loud? Sound Limiter?

• LeFunk! play as loud as you decide.
• Weddings and birthdays are social occasions. We think guests should be able to hear each other!
• By switching to our electronic drum kit, even the full band can play at singing voice level . At venues with a sound limiter there is therefore no danger of us triggering a power cut.
• Of course if you do want it loud, we can crank it up for a floor thumping nightclub experience either with Mini-LeFunk! or the full band!

May & June 2019

Thank you to all our brides, grooms and party planners! Summer 2019 is officially our busiest ever with every Saturday now booked to the end of October! Despite this you can still come and see us play in various lineups at venues such as JLR Live Lounge in Oldham (trio), John Millington in Cheadle Hulme (Trio and Duo), The Woodstock Arms in Didsbury (all line-ups) and the Cedar Tree Rochdale (trio).

Over the last couple of months we've played weddings and birthdays at venues such as Eaves Hall, Wyresdale Park, Crewe Hall and Hayfield Village Hall.

We can also recommend Bashall Wedding Barn in Cltheroe where we provided classical guitar on the terrace during the cocktail drinks, and the four piece band in the evening. The facilities for live music here are excellent and transitions between the various phases of your wedding are a breeze. They also have a state of the art sound system and to top it all a lovely location on top of a hill overlooking hills and dales.

Sep 2018 Classical Guitar

Great pleasure to have played classical guitar for Matt and Ruth at their wedding in New Mills. Ruth chose not to have the church pianist/organist play, instead opting for Dave to entertain the congregation for 30 minutes before performing a version of Des'Ree's I'm Kissing You for the walk down the aisle. That was topped off with the Bridal Suite and various other pieces for the signing of the register.

July 2018 Stockport Plaza

We play at stunning wedding venues around the North West each weekend but once in a while we still have jaw dropping moments! Congratulations again to Anne and Brett who chose us to perform and DJ at their Stockport Plaza Theatre wedding.Weddings at Stockport Plaza.

New Year's Eve 2018

Grosvenor Casinos re-booked us for New Year's Eve. This time we played at their Didsbury Casino as our 4 piece band fronted by Jade. Here's some audience filmed video from the night:
